👦🏻Jaya Kumar our 118th Leo’s Kids is a 3-year-old boy from Siraha, a district located in the eastern development region of Nepal. He has one older sister who lives with their grandparents back home. Jaya’s father works as a farmer to support their family.
🏥In October 2022, Jaya started experiencing symptoms of fever. After being taken to a medical facility near Siraha, he was referred to a hospital in Janakpur where his medical team discovered that he had a low blood count. He was then referred to Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu where he was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
🎗️Currently, Jaya is undergoing his second round of active treatment for T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. However, this time, he is facing difficulties with food intake.
🏡Jaya is staying with his parents in a separate flat in Maharajgunj as all of our other flats are occupied. In the meantime, we have been doing our best to support him by delivering food from Leo’s Kid K-Flat while he is admitted to the hospital. Jaya enjoys playing with toys.
🙏🏽Thank you again for your unwavering support, and we look forward to a successful year ahead for the Leo Foundation and all the children we serve.
