👧🏻Fighting for Dakshina: A Young Girl’s Battle with Blood Cancer
❤️Dakshina Devkota is an 11-year-old girl from Kalikot, a region in the Mid-Western Development of Nepal. She has two older sisters and a younger sibling who is currently living with their mother. Prior to her health condition, Dakshina was studying in the 6th grade.
⚕️Dakshina started experiencing abdominal, thigh, and back pain, along with frequent nosebleeds and oral bleeding in December 2022. Her parents took her to a hospital in Kalikot, where she was referred to Patan Hospital in Kathmandu for advanced treatment.
🎗️Since arriving at Patan Hospital a month ago, Dakshina has completed her initial phase of active treatment for blood cancer, and she reportedly has a relatively good appetite, according to her father.
🏡For the last 21 days, she has been staying with her father in Leo’s Kid P-Flat, where she has been expressing homesickness for her mother, sisters, and friends back home.
🙏🏽We are proud to support these kids and provide them with moments of joy and happiness. We sincerely appreciate your continued support in making these activities possible for them.
