💐From Abandonment to Cancer: Salina’s Resilience in the Face of Adversity
❤️Our 115th Leo’s Kid, 14-year-old Salina, hails from Bardiya, Nepal, a place located in the midwestern part of the country. Her father abandoned the family five years ago, leaving Salina and her two older sisters to fend for themselves. Just over a year ago, Salina fell ill and began vomiting blood.
🎗️When her condition worsened, she was brought to a teaching hospital where she underwent a series of medical tests. It was determined that she had a tumor in her stomach and cancer. She was then transferred to Kanti Children’s Hospital and later to Bir Hospital before finally beginning her treatment at Patan Hospital.
🏡 Salina is currently receiving treatment for her stomach tumor at Patan Hospital and is staying with her mother at Leo’s Kid P-Flat. Despite all the hardships she has faced, Salina remains a bright and determined young woman. She loves studying, dancing, and drawing, and was in grade nine before her health struggles led her to leave school.
🌸 We deeply appreciate those of you who are able to partner with us financially to support these precious children and families either with a one-time donation or a monthly donation. This helps ensure our ability to provide ongoing support to these families in their time of crisis.
