👑 After lunch today, all our Leo’s Kids from B-Flats and their families had a fun day at the Narayanhiti Palace Museum. The Narayanhiti Palace, now a museum, was home to all Shah rulers of Nepal. It was opened to the public in February 2009 after King Gyanendra stepped down as a monarch. The part of the palace that covers an area of just over forty thousand square feet, is open to the public as a museum.
🐯 Anjil, our 102nd Leo’s Kid, wanted to sit in the king’s throne. Nabin, our 92nd Leo’s Kid, asked if the tiger’s head in the museum is real. Our 12th Leo’s Kid, Minshu, came to Kathmandu for a regular check-up and is staying at Leo’s Kids B-Flats. She also joined us at the Narayanhiti Palace and said it would be wonderful to dine in the royal kitchen.
🪴Later, all of the Leo’s Kids in B-Flats, namely Mohini Kurmi, Sandhya Limbu, Kumar Khadka, Roshika Shada, Pratik Dhami, Nabin Dahal, Anjil Bhusal, Anisha Baniya, and Rachana Gimere, enjoyed the garden inside the palace. It was a fun day for all our Leo’s Kids and their families since for most of them it was their first visit to the king’s palace.
🌸 We deeply appreciate those of you who are able to partner with us financially to support these precious children and families either with a one-time donation or a monthly donation. This helps ensure our ability to provide ongoing support to these families in their time of crisis.
