Inside Harald’s Kitchen: Feeding Families and Children with Cancer
🥗In Harald’s kitchen, approximately 32,000 meals are prepared each year to cater to Leo’s Kids and their families who are dealing with cancer and residing in Arlene Miskelly Memorial Flats. These flats are one of three located in different cities.
🍱Furthermore, parents also make special meals for their children based on their preferences. The families living together in the flats have diverse dietary requirements – some are vegetarian, while others consume meat. Some avoid buffalo and pork, while others prefer fish as their primary source of protein. As a result, each meal is prepared differently based on the specific requests of each individual.
👩🍳Kumari prepares almost all of the meals and also receives assistance from some of Leo’s kid’s parents. Sunil tried to teach them the American style of cutting techniques, but he failed miserably because his technique was much slower compared to Kumari’s.
🙏🏽We are grateful beyond measure for those of you who have chosen to partner with us in our mission to support the precious children and families affected by cancer in Nepal.
