Cricket: Bringing Joy and Therapeutic Benefits to Children in Arlene Miskelly Memorial Flats
🇳🇵Cricket is undoubtedly one of the most popular sports in South Asia, and its popularity is rapidly increasing in Nepal. Leo’s Kids are no exception to the excitement for cricket as they love watching it on TV.
🏏To encourage their passion, Sunil decided to buy them a cricket bat and ball, and they set up a small cricket pitch in their living room at the Arlene Miskelly Memorial Flats in Bhaktapur. The children have a great time playing indoor cricket while their parents watch them.
♥️Playing games like cricket can be therapeutic for children battling cancer as it provides them with a sense of normalcy and allows them to entertain themselves during the difficult treatment period.
🥳Anjil’s mother shared that he and his brother made their own cricket bat and played with other kids in the village. Although Anjil misses playing cricket with his friends, he is determined to show them his improvement once he gets back home. In the meantime, he is the champion among Leo’s Kids.
💐As always, I want to express my gratitude to all of our Team Leo kids for your support.
