Leo’s wonderful and loving grandmother, Arlene Miskelly, passed away unexpectedly last week on the 15th of April. She made the long journey to be with Leo, her 12th grandchild, during his final moments on this earth and sat with us as we made plans to support families of children with cancer in Nepal just two days later.
She was an incredibly loving, kind, funny, and compassionate woman who has left a huge hole in our hearts, and we are grateful to know she and Leo are joyfully reunited and experiencing no pain.
My mom supported Team Leo’s Kids as one of our first board members and can be heard sending messages of hope to our first Leo’s Kids in the video Harald Baldr posted in early December. My dad, Dr. William Miskelly, remains on our board and has decided to honor his wife of 50 years by designating the Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation as one of the recipients of memorial gifts. We so appreciate the generous contributions of family and friends who are honoring my mom in this way.
We will always seek to honor Leo’s memory and now my mom’s memory in all that we do to support these precious children and their families. Thank you for being an integral part of Team Leo’s Kids.
