Tejika, a courageous 12-year-old from Nepalgunj, is currently receiving treatment for blood cancer at Kanti Children’s Hospital. She now lives with her family at our Leo’s Kids K-Flats.
Her father, Krishna Bahadur Mahatara, works in marketing, and her mother, Tulsa Aryal, works in housekeeping. Tejika also has one sister. Before her diagnosis, she attended Manakamana School in Nepalgunj and was in grade 6. Her favorite subject is English.
Tejika was initially taken for a checkup after experiencing a light fever. She was then referred to Bheri Zone Hospital, which subsequently referred her to Kanti Children’s Hospital in Kathmandu, where she was diagnosed with blood cancer.
