We visited our families living a block away from our K-Flats building in the three additional rooms we have rented since running out of space in our K-Flats building. It was necessary to expand in order to accommodate more families in need since the alternative is often the floor at the hospital or a friend’s kitchen floor.
Located a block away from our original flats, these new rooms offer the support of meals from the K-Flats kitchen along with access to the common areas for involvement in the community aspect of life in the Flats.
Currently, we have David Pariyar staying in one of these rooms with his grandmother, who is struggling to manage while her husband is partially paralyzed. David, who tragically lost his parents, is undergoing treatment for blood cancer at Kanti Children’s Hospital.
Across the hall, we have Purnima, an adorable two-year-old, staying with her loving parents. These families are grateful to have accommodations and food provided during this challenging time.
We also extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible Team Leo’s Kids and supporters for making these expansions possible. Together, we continue to provide comfort, compassion, and hope to children and families battling childhood cancer in Nepal. 💛🦁 #LeosKids #Support #Community #Gratitude
