Let us introduce you to Kartik Yadav, our 136th Leo’s Kid! This cheerful 5-year-old comes all the way from Dhunusha in Nepal’s Central Development Region. Kartik’s family includes his parents, an older sister, and a brother, who are back home looking after their farm.
Kartik had a fever earlier this year, in January. His parents took him to a hospital in Janakpur, where they learned he had a low blood count. The doctors suggested he go to Kanti Children’s Hospital for more care.
Starting in May, Kartik began his first active treatment for blood cancer. Despite feeling less hungry due to his treatment, he’s been a real trooper. His mom even shared that he’s been feeling better lately.
Now, Kartik and his mom are staying at Leo’s Kid K-Flat, where they’re being well taken care of. Before everything, Kartik was just beginning his journey in kindergarten. He loves spending time watching cartoons on his mobile. Even though he’s far from home, he still misses his family there.
Let’s give a warm welcome to Kartik as our newest Leo’s Kid. Your support makes a world of difference in his journey.
