👦🏻Anup, our 120th Leo’s Kid, is an 11-year-old boy from Dolakha, a region within the Central Development Region of Nepal. He is in 6th grade and has a 7-year-old younger sister who is currently living with their grandparents in their hometown. Anup’s father works as a chef in Dubai to support the family financially.
🎗️In November 2022, Anup developed a lump on his neck, and his parents took him to a nearby clinic for medical attention. The prescribed medication provided temporary relief, but the lump continued to grow. They then took him to a hospital in Dolakha, where the medical team informed them that they lacked the necessary equipment to diagnose the condition.
🏥Anup was later referred to Sumeru City Hospital in Kathmandu for a proper diagnosis. There, he was diagnosed with cancer and was taken to Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital for further treatment. He is currently undergoing his second round of treatment for a type of lymphoma.
🏡When Anup’s family first brought him to Kathmandu for medical treatment, they stayed at a relative’s place for a few weeks. However, Anup and his mother have been staying at Leo’s Kid B-Flat for the past 21 days. During his stay, Anup enjoys playing with toys as a form of recreation.
